At Raffles American School, we prioritize the health and safety of our students. Air pollution can significantly affect health, especially for children who are more susceptible to its effects. Below are the guidelines for adjusting outdoor activities based on air quality levels (AQI):
- 0-50: Good
- Outdoor activities can proceed as usual.
- 51-100: Moderate
- Reduce strenuous activities for sensitive individuals.
- Early Years (EY) students should engage in light exposure.
- 101-150: Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups
- Limit outdoor activities for those with respiratory issues.
- EY students should stay indoors or limit outdoor exposure.
- 151-200: Unhealthy
- Limit outdoor activities.
- N95 masks should be worn during outdoor activities.
- 201-300: Very Unhealthy
- Minimize outdoor activities as much as possible.
- Focus on indoor activities and wear N95 masks.
- 300+: Hazardous
- No outdoor activities.
- Everyone must remain indoors and wear N95 masks if stepping outside.
