Mr. Kyle Young
Head Of School
We are honored to announce Mr. Kyle Young as our new Head of School, effective May 1st 2024. With over 15 years of successful educational leadership and consulting, he will oversee all facets of the RAS Academic program from curriculum and teaching oversight, to academic recruitment and evaluation, and day-to-day academic communications.
His qualifications in Science, English, K-12 Education, and International Administration, along with years of experience encompassing both teaching and senior leadership roles across domestic and international settings (UK, Canada, US, and Thailand) position him well to contribute meaningfully to our school community. With a background in school improvement and international change leadership, Kyle’s time as a Head of School prioritized leading with compassion, coaching high-functioning leadership teams, and encouraging meaningful and sustainable progress at all levels of the organization.
Since 2021, he has served as the Middle and High School Principal at Raffles American School Bangkok, demonstrating a proven ability to elevate student achievement while also building our global school profile by leading our WASC accreditation and IB authorization. As an active qualified teacher, he puts student and teacher wellbeing at the forefront of decision making and encourages engagement with families and members of the community.
We are confident that his vision and extensive experience will propel our school to even greater heights in academic excellence and holistic student development.
