The Three Sports Programs Available
1. Volleyball – Develop Agility and Teamwork
Volleyball at RAS is offered in five competitive divisions to ensure proper age-group placement:
Divisions:
- U13 Mixed: Players born on or after June 1, 2013
- U16 Girls: Players born on or after June 1, 2010
- U16 Boys: Players born on or after June 1, 2010
- U18 Girls: Players born on or after June 1, 2008
- U18 Boys: Players born on or after June 1, 2008
Training Schedule:
- 3 weekly practices (intensive skill development)
- Season 1: August – November 2026
- Season 2: January – May 2027
What’s Included in the Fee:
- Professional coaching from qualified volleyball specialists
- 3 structured weekly practices
- Team uniforms (separate purchase required)
- Transportation to all league games and tournaments
- Weekly BISAL league competition
- BISAL and AISAA weekend tournaments
Volleyball Program Fee:
- 6,500 THB per semester
- 12,500 THB per year (save 500 THB with annual enrollment)
2. Football (Soccer) – Build Speed, Strategy, and Confidence
Football at RAS caters to players across a wide age range, with programs designed for both developing young athletes and competitive players.
Divisions:
- U9 Boys: Born on or after June 1, 2017 (age 8-9)
- U11 Boys: Born on or after June 1, 2015 (age 10-11)
- U13 Boys: Born on or after June 1, 2013 (age 12-13)
- U18 Boys: Born on or after June 1, 2008 (age 17-18)
Training Schedule:
- 2 weekly practices (perfect for developing fundamental skills)
- U9 & U11: September – November 2026
- U13: November 2026 – March 2027
- U18: September – November 2026

3. Swimming – Develop Fitness and Water Confidence
Our swimming program focuses on stroke technique, fitness, and water safety, with separate groups for different age levels.
Divisions:
- U9–U11: Younger swimmers (ages 8-11)
- U13–U18: Older swimmers (ages 12-18)
Training Schedule:
- 2 weekly practices focusing on technique and conditioning
- Season 1: August – November 2026
- Season 2: January – May 2027

- Professional swimming coaching

- Pool facility access
- Swim cap (new members only, included in additional fees)
- Transportation to competitive meets

Additional Costs to Budget
To participate in RAS sports programs, parents should budget for uniforms and equipment:
- Sports Uniforms: 1,500 THB for 2 uniforms (black and orange) – required for all sports
- Swim Cap: 500 THB for new swimming members only
These items must be purchased separately and are essential for team representation and safety.
Important Program Details
Tryout Process
- Volleyball & Football: Tryouts are conducted if applications exceed 15 students per division. This ensures optimal team composition and fair placement.
- Swimming: New members may be assessed to determine appropriate level placement.
Team Minimum Enrollment
Each sports program requires a minimum of 10 enrolled students to operate. This ensures qualified coaching availability and meaningful competition.
Maximum Team Size
All sports maintain a maximum of 15 students per team/group to ensure:
- Personalized attention from coaches
- Adequate practice facility access
- Quality competitive experience
Schedule Release
Practice schedules, game times, and tournament calendars will be provided after each team is officially formed, typically within one week of the registration deadline.
League Participation – Competitive Opportunities
BISAL (Bangkok International Schools Athletic League)
As an official BISAL member, RAS provides:
- Weekly competitive league games throughout the season
- 1 tournament per term for all sports
- Access to a network of international schools across Thailand
- Standardized playing rules and schedules
AISAA Tournaments
- Invitation-based tournament opportunities
- Allows RAS teams to compete against elite programs
- Additional experience against stronger competition
