I truly appreciate the freedom we have as teachers to address the students’ needs and make sure that the students are supported academically.
Raffles has strived in the last four years to put safety and security as our top priority. And in the year 2020, with the pandemic outbreak, we have excelled in our remote teaching as well as our prevention policies that we have implemented in the school in such a way that we were able to welcome new students to the school during the pandemic.
My favourite part of working at Raffles would be working in the classroom with my students and spending time with them and watching them grow as well as doing various fun activities which allow them to become more confident and gain a sense of self . I also love my teacher friends, too.
In my classroom, there are routines in placed, there are procedures for my students to follow accordingly. Because of these routines, they learn how to follow the rules and I feel like there is structure to our practice. As a community, Raffles does send out emails and messages to parents as a way to consistently communicate. We ensure to communicate with each other and keep everyone updated.
When I was asked to develop online PE classes for our students, I was honestly left with a feeling of uncertainty. How could I teach online Physical Education lessons? As it turns out, teaching PE online has been very rewarding. The challenge of creating online lessons has really allowed me as a teacher to explore new methods, possibilities and given an opportunity for students to have the ownership of their classwork.

This text can later be translated and used in your word processor, publishing software, or other text related purposes. OCR Online is a complex yet most efficient way of the electronic or mechanical conversion of an image into machine-encoded text. Online OCR converter is generally used in scanned documents, especially apposite for situations wherein you are required to copy from an image, but typing is not what you want.
“It takes a village to raise a child.” Truer words have never been said in light of our current predicament. Fortunately, our preschool village has tablets, WiFi and amazing, supportive families who have swiftly become ad-hoc teachers themselves. Preschool is, among many things, a time for personal growth and development, a chance to explore one’s surroundings and a moment to test the waters. We, as a school strives to become a place that natures our students and provide them with the important tools to grow and pursue their full potentials in our modern society.

Students learn in many different ways. Each child has his/ her own way of learning whereby some learn visually, others through touch, taste, and sound. At Raffles, We understand children’s learning styles and cater to our students’ learning abilities. We include reading, learning numbers, art activities, and problem solving in your child’s daily activities. Our teachers understand the benefits of daily activities and the impact this may have on the child’s development. Depending upon the age of your child, his/ her learning style and personality, your child will have different needs. The first five years are especially crucial for physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development. At Raffles American School, we pursue excellence for all.
