Growing Together October at Raffles American School Bangkok
A look at partnership, safety and celebration in our school community.
October brings a wonderful blend of connection, care and fun at Raffles American School Bangkok. This month, we celebrated the partnership between school and home, shared important reminders to keep our community safe and healthy, and prepared for some exciting events.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Growing Together, Every Step of the Way
Building a shared journey between school and home
We believe that supporting student growth is a shared journey. Our Parent-Teacher Conferences gave families and teachers a valuable chance to exchange insights, discuss each student’s progress and plan how to support every child’s individual learning needs. Thank you to all the parents and teachers who took part in these meaningful conversations.

Field Trips: Learning Beyond the Classroom
Hands-on experiences that build confidence
Some of the most memorable lessons happen outside the classroom. This month, our students explored the world around them, asked questions and connected what they learn in class to real life. Field trips help students build confidence and strengthen friendships along the way. We thank our teachers, staff and parents for their continued support.

Campus Safety and Wellbeing: New No Pets Policy
To keep our campus safe, hygienic and comfortable for everyone, a No Pets Policy took effect on October 12, 2026. Pets are not permitted anywhere on campus, including parking areas and drop-off and pick-up zones, whether they are carried, leashed, in a carrier or inside a vehicle. A fine of THB 10,000 applies per confirmed incident. Educational animal activities and assistance-animal arrangements require prior written approval from school administration.

Be Sun Smart
With warmer weather returning after several days of rain, we encourage students to:
- Stay hydrated and drink water regularly.
- Rest in shaded or cooler areas.
- Use a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses outdoors.
- Keep rain protection handy and take care on wet surfaces.
- Tell a teacher or the clinic if they feel unwell.
Our heat management guidelines also help us adjust outdoor activities, PE classes and sports according to the heat index.

Halloween 2026: Spooky Fairytale Fantasy
Friday, October 30 – a whole-day celebration
Our community will come together for a day of costumes, creativity and laughter. Students are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes. The day includes a morning Costume Parade, themed games and activities, and a whole-school Trick or Treat. Parents are warmly invited to cheer on the students at the front of the school. Please bring nut-free candy only to share.

Coming Up in November
Mark your calendar for EYES and MSHS Coffee Talks, Whole School Spirit Week (November 16–18), Sports Days (November 19–20), Loy Krathong activities (November 24) and Thanksgiving (November 26).
